In this section, the hourly grid data sets were compared with other air temperature gridded sets in the same category, made at the national and continental scale, whose spatial extension fully covers the study area: ROCADA (Dumitrescu and Birsan 2015), E-OBS (Cornes et al. 2018) and MiKlip (Brinckmann et al. 2016).
The most accurate cartographic representations regardless of the geographical area analysed, are obtained from 1 km spatial resolution Taer data, based on data from a large number of meteorological stations, located in all representative regions of the study area (Figure 1 and Figure 2).
